Studies called horticultural therapy are being conducted by physicians (Horticulture as Therapy: A Practical Guide, Mitchell L. Hewson, 1994). They are convinced that gardening helps to heal their patients not only physically but also emotionally. Horticultural therapists have discovered that gardening allows patients to better express their emotions. It helps people to bind more easily to others. The psychological benefits to simply walking outside or working under the sun in fresh air are also indisputable. Indeed, studies have shown that simply watching the trees reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and relieves muscle tension. Horticultural therapists have found that gardening stimulates all senses providing views, sounds, textures and interesting perfums for individual development. In addition, gardening teaches the art of patience. In contrast to other activities, it does not produce instant results, but patience is often rewarded. |
The Martial Art Therapy: The art of struggle for peace
The martial art does not promote war or violence: it seeks to obtain inner peace and self-confidence. The disciple of martial arts do much less "battle" in everyday life, as one who is in conflict with itself. Our body is the concrete of what we are: feelings, identity, energy, intuitions, morale, tenderness, communications ... Everything passes through the body, psychological training and relational dynamics are part of the strongest healing practices. The martial arts moves in a way all through the body so that the fundamental balance is restored (the rest heals itself: doubt, pessimism, emotion, laziness, depression, anxiety ...).

Therapy through writing and study.
The words fly away while the writings remain. In writing, it gives life to what we think. It is as if it was a storage, a classification. Once written, the memories don't clutter the mind anymore. It is an act of expulsion, liberation. The pavilion also serve as a place to study. We want education to continue during the stay at the center to minimize the possibility of school dropouts. 15h.per week are planned. |
